This 8-WEEK course focuses on speaking, listening, reading and writing Dutch in everyday situations, with a strong emphasis on conversation. Upon successful completion, you will be able to communicate with native speakers at a basic level.
The following topics will be covered:
• greetings and introductions
• the Dutch alphabet
• countries and nationalities
• talking about family and friends
• numbers and the time
• filling in a form
• colours and descriptions
• finding out about a city
• food and drink
Grammar
• Nouns - singular and plural
• Verbs ending in 'EN', ‘zijn’ and ‘hebben’, present tense
• Interrogatives: 'waar', 'welk', 'hoe', 'wat', etc.
• 'er is' + 'er zijn' ('there is' & 'there are')
